There’s a few blogs /sites out there reporting interest in Kyle Lohse…
The Cardinals are denying interest and in my opinion, it’s unlikely, unless they can sign him for any/all of the following combinations:
A) A one year deal
B) an option
C) incentives
OR
A) Two year deal with reasonable salary
B) incentives
What do you all think? Would signing Lohse be a good idea?
I would say pass on Lohse. For some reason he’s overpriced… I really don’t know how he is trying to comand so much money because I’ve never seen him be consistently good… he was attrocious while with the Reds.
I would say the same thing, with the way owners are throwing money at mediocre talent, it’s nice to see teams holding their ground somewhat on this one. He’s not worth what he wants, and nobody should take the bait on such an average pitcher. I feel his pricetag is dropping as we speak. We’re half way into spring training, and he won’t be ready to pitch now until late April early May, if he gets signed this week.
